Mr. HU Zhaoguang, born in 1939, is an Independent Non-executive Director of the Company. He graduated from the Tsinghua University in 1964 and also completed a management course in Sweden. Mr. Hu has over 38 years of experience in economics, finance and corporate management and was wide recognised for his work in these areas. Mr. Hu joined the Company in September 2004. He is the Independent Non-executive Director of BBMG Corporation (listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited). He was previously the Chairman of Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited (listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited) and its parent company, Beijing Holdings Limited, and an Independent Non-executive Director of China Overseas Land & Investment Limited (listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited). From February 1993 to January 1998, Mr. Hu served as a Vice Mayor of the Beijing Municipal Government. From 1988 to 1993, Mr. Hu served as the Director of Beijing New Technology Development Zone and Chief Executive of Beijing Haidian District Government.
