Mr. WU Jinglian, born in 1930, is an Independent Non-executive Director of the Company. He graduated from Fudan University. Professor Wu joined the Company in April 2001. He is a senior research fellow at the Development Research Center of the State Council and a professor at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and China Europe International Business School. He was previously an Executive Director at the Development Research Center of the State Council and a Deputy Director of the Programming Office for Economic Reform of the State Council. Professor Wu was also a visiting fellow at Yale University, a fellow at St. Antony’s College of Oxford University, a chair professor at the Stanford University and a visiting fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Professor Wu is also an Independent Non-executive Director of China Unicom (Hong Kong) Limited (formerly known as China Unicom Limited, listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited).
